Steph has been teaching the Irish traditional flute since 2005. She has led masterclasses at festivals across Ireland, University of Limerick, Royal Conservatory of Scotland, developed 2 courses for the Online Academy of Irish Music and taught at many International Festivals in the UK, USA, Europe & Australia. She has worked with students of all ages and abilities: from absolute beginners to All-Ireland winners / competitors and many adults coming from outside the tradition wishing to gain further understanding of how to sound and play like an Irish traditional flute player!
Steph continues to teach international students online and locally in Galway, Ireland. She partnered with the Galway Music Academy for 14 years, developing a strong young Galway flute community and from September 2026 Steph will launch her own Traditional Irish Flute School in Galway. - PRIVATE ONLINE LESSONS: 1hr duration Easy Revolut or PayPal payments and flexible times to suit students who live in different time zones!
- MASTERCLASS LESSONS: 1hr – 2hrs duration It is also possible to arrange longer masterclass lessons for intermediate and advanced students or for those who are travelling in from abroad for an intensive period of study.
- IN PERSON LESSONS: If you live in or near Galway, you can book one to one weekly flute lessons. These lessons run on a term basis alongside the school calendar from September – June.
- ONLINE ACADEMY OF IRISH MUSIC: I am delighted to have developed both a wooden and silver flute course for the wonderful Online Academy of Irish Music!! You can subscribe to the Online Academy to access all videos or access the first six lessons for free.
